Sturling Curling

The SPCC is happy to announce that our Sturling League will become a regular part of the club's schedule. The following format will be used:

2 - Person Sturling League.  6 rocks - 6 ends.  Approximately 1 hour playing time for each game, 2 games for each weekly draw.  Both stick and slide curlers are welcome.

Teams can add a third player to their roster at no additional cost (similar to 5th and 6th players in our regular leagues). If you cannot make a game, you are responsible to find a spare for your team. If you cannot field a team, your are responsble for contacting your opposition to cancel you game(s).

Fall Session: (games will be played at the same time as the Monday Afternoon SML)

Start Date: September 30, 2024

Teams: 6

Game Times: 12:30 - 1:30pm & 1:45 - 2:45pm

Game Days : 10 

2024 : (10) Sep 30, Oct 7, 21, 28, Nov 4, 18, 25, Dec 2, 9, 16  

       No games Oct 14  (Thanksgiving), Remembrance Day(Nov 11)

Cost: $368.00/team ($184.00/player)

 

Winter Session: 

Start Date: January 6, 2025

Teams: 12

Game Times: 12:30 - 1:30pm & 1:45 - 2:45pm

Game Days : 10 

2025 : (10) Jan 6, 13, 20, 27, Feb 3, 10, 17, 24, Mar 3, 10

           Games WILL be played Family Day weekend - Feb 17

Cost: $372.00/team ($186.00/player)

 Where did the name Sturling come from?

"STURLING" is the contraction of a long name (or description): "S" for Stick or Slide, "T" for Two-person-team, and "URLING" from cURLING

Club Information

The Sherwood Park Curling Club is an 8 sheet facility that is home to over 1000 active members and is run out of the Glen Allen Recreation Complex in Sherwood Park, AB. We are active members of the Edmonton and Area Curling Clubs.

The SPCC hosts 20 full leagues and programs weekly. Our leagues include ladies, men, mixed, juniors, open, seniors and adult beginners. We are wheel chair accessible and pride ourselves on educating and promoting the sport of curling in our community.

We embrace all levels of curling from beginners to competitive players. Come Rock with Us!
