The Senior Mixed Curling League provides a full season of competitive games and socialization opportunities for curlers age 50 and over. Curlers can play on Monday, Wednesday and/ or Friday mornings. A Snowbirds league ,for those who travel in winter, plays from the end of September to December. If interested, please contact Bonnie Schmidt, President of the Senior Mixed Curling League.
If you are unable to curl on a regular basis but would like to spare for any of these leagues that is another option that is available to you.
*All times will be staggered in respect of social distancing guidelines*
All league spots are filled, but spares are needed for all leagues.

5 ROCK RULE
Under the five-rock rule, teams are not permitted to eliminate their opponent’s rocks that are sitting in the Free Guard Zone (FGZ) until five stones have been played in every end. Players can still hit the guards; they just aren’t allowed to knock them out of play. Players can remove their own rocks from the FGZ. This is a change from the 2017/18 season rules in that the free guard zone was only in effect for the first four stones (four-rock rule).
The Free Guard Zone is the area after the hog line, but before the house. The rocks in this area are in play, but cannot score unless advanced into the house. The idea is to keep more rocks in play and increase scoring opportunities.
