Curling Alberta announcing a fee change effective for the 2020-2021 season - Read below.

Dear Club Managers and Presidents,

Please find attached a letter from Curling Alberta announcing a fee change effective for the 2020-2021 season, as well as a digital booklet which further explains the change.  Note that Curling Alberta will also announce and host a series of town hall meetings on this subject in the coming months at locations spread out within our boundaries.

SPCC update - March 16 - 11 am

SPCC Members,

The SPCC is officially closed and in the process of rink shut down at GARC.  The ice is being removed and the entire clean up process should be completed by the end of March by our Ice Team.  

The SPCC Board met on March 15 to discuss the current financials, the 2020/2021 budget, league reports, and our required responses due to the COVID19 precautions and the early shut down.  A full summary of the Managers Report will be posted soon.

The following events are post poned until further noctice - 

  • Volunteer & Sponsor Appreciation - date TBD
  • Championship Day - cancelled
  • Milestone Rock Handle Award - date TBD
  • AGM - date TBD
  • Hold your spot date - Next year registration will start beginning of May

SPCC Update - March 13 - 5:30pm

SPCC Members,

The GARC building will closed March 14 - April 14th. If you would like to get your curling equipment from your locker, you will have until 11 pm on March 13th to do so. Otherwise, your equipment will be safely stored in our locker room until the building reopens.

The health and safety of our members is top-priority for the Sherwood Park Curling Club.  In response to the COVID-19 outbreak and the current announcements put forward by the Alberta Government and Curling Alberta, the SPCC is being proactive and has made the decision to end to the season today instead of March 21st.

Please come and collect the contents of your lockers at your convenience. Before you come down, please check the county website to ensure you can access the GARC facility.

Curling Alberta Update - March 12 - 7:20pm

Dear curlers, 

After careful consideration of COVID-19 and the most recent information from Alberta Health Services, Curling Alberta has decided to cancel the U15 and Mixed Provincial Qualifiers scheduled for this weekend. Related information on the impact to Provincial Championships (i.e. berths) and other details will follow as soon as possible.

              This can be located under the EVENTS tab on our website (top right corner).
              You can view the weeks practice ice availability and then see what is already booked.
              Contact the SPCC Office by email or call to book your individual or team practice. 
              A reminder, if you book a sheet of ice and there is less than 4 people on the sheet, we will add other individuals to your
              sheet to maximize the practice times. 
              Booking a sheet of ice does not mean you get to throw by yourself for the entire ice time.
              Be kind, lots of individuals are wanting to get ready for the season!
